Ken Levine, the director of the critically acclaimed Bioshock saga, is developing Judas, his new game. Ghost Story Games, Levine’s new studio, is developing this game as its official first project. But fans only really want one thing from 2K Games and Levine: a new Bioshock.
Thanks to the eleventh anniversary of Bioshock Infinite, a post on X drew some attention. 2K Games replied to the fan question about a new possible Bioshock with a chef emoji, confirming that something could be in development regarding the Bioshock franchise.
Fans don’t want Judas; they are only worried about whether 2K Games will launch another game in the Bioshock franchise
One of the greatest franchises in video games is Bioshock. Critics and fans praise the three games in the saga for their incredible original plot, vibrant worlds, and spectacular gameplay. Ken Levine created this title, infusing the narrative with a unique style and emphasizing the importance of every character, regardless of their actions.
This type of narrative is uncommon in games, which is why fans are eagerly anticipating the next title from this director, Judas. However, fans overwhelmingly desire the release of a new Bioshock game.
In a celebratory post on X about the eleventh anniversary of Bioshock Infinite, a fan asked 2K Games about the possibility of a new Bioshock; the official 2K Games account replied with a chef emoji. This will probably mean that a new Bioshock is in development.

There are no details about whether Ken Levine is involved in this project; at the moment, the director is only focusing on Judas, his new first-person shooter. This will probably launch sometime in 2025, as recent trailers and gameplay have shown.
A new Bioshock will be very well-received by fans and players
In 2013, Ken Levine and Irrational Games launched Bioshock Infinite for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Ken Levine made players get out of the depths of Rapture to be in a flying city where all kinds of different characters and narratives await. The city of Columbia has Elizabeth, the character you will have to save from this dystopian place, with all kinds of weapons and ways to move in this floating utopia.
We continue to wait for our next Bioshock adventure, but in the meantime we have the upcoming Judas to look forward to. Whether Ken Levine will be involved with Bioshock 4 is unlikely, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Judas will launch sometime in 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. In this game, you control Judas inside a spaceship that has the remaining parts of humanity. They are all controlled by robots, and you will have to find a way to escape the robots and ensure humanity’s survival. If Levine’s track record is anything to go by there will be many nuances, twists and turns to the story we’ve yet to see.
