Jujutsu Kaisen is full of surprises and death. One of the most popular anime of modern times has kept the fandom on the edge of their seats. Gege Akutami’s magnum opus is undoubtedly one of the greatest pieces of fiction ever told. The story about the secret Jujutsu society, exorcising evil curses has had several plot twists since the day it began.
Characters like Satoru Gojo, Toji Fushiguro, Ryomen Sukuna, etc., make the anime more exciting. The former two were killed, but the latter has found its form from 1000 years ago and become the strongest individual to ever live. Satoru Gojo was the only one who could stand up to Ryomen Sukuna. Now that he is dead, there are only a handful of Jujutsu sorcerers who can become his successor and pose a threat to Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen.
5. Yuji Itadori
Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. Even though he is quite below in comparison to Satoru Gojo’s Cursed Energy level, there is a lot of potential in him to surpass his sensei. Yuji Itadori was a normal boy who gained Cursed Energy after consuming one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. The special thing about him is that he was able to subdue Sukuna from overtaking his multiple. Even consuming multiple fingers was not enough for Sukunu to take control of his body.
Yuji is a quick learner and physically is pretty powerful. His Black Flash technique is lethal, and he has a lot of space for improvement. While other characters have received massive power-ups, he has yet to find his most potent form. When it happens, he will be the biggest threat to Sukuna’s legacy.
4. Maki Zenin
Maki Zenin was born with no Cursed Energy but was gifted with amazing physical prowess. On the other hand, her twin sister, Mai Zenin, had Cursed Energy, but physically she was not as strong as her sister. After Mai’s death, Maki Zenin attained immense physical prowess, just like Toji Fushiguro’s Heavenly Restriction. Toji was strong enough to kill a young Gojo Satoru.
Maki Zenin never got any love from his family since she had no Cursed Energy. But after attaining the Heavenly Restriction, she single-handedly massacred the Zenin Clan, who were one of the three main clans in Jujutsu Kaisen. Maki still has room for improvement and might well surpass Toji Fushiguro. While Toji was on par with a young Gojo, she might become strong enough to challenge Ryomen Sukuna along with an experienced Satoru Gojo.
3. Kinji Hakari
Kinji Hakari is a former third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High who possesses a unique ability. His Cursed Technique is different from others and depends on luck. It is like a lottery system, in which if he gets lucky, he will have limitless cursed energy for 4 minutes and 11 seconds and gain instant regeneration powers, which makes him almost invincible. Apart from having a “luck” factor, he is a master at hand-to-hand combat and is exceptionally gifted.
During his time at Tokyo Jujutsu High, he was termed by Satoru Gojo to reach his power levels. Even Yuta Okkotsu considered him to be stronger than him. But being Gojo Satoru’s student, he was carefree and often found himself in trouble. Kinji Hakari was able to defeat Kashimo Hajime, and if he reached his full potential, he could very well take on Ryomen Sukuna.

2. Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro is the son of Toji Fushiguro and a pupil of Satoru Gojo. He has inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, which is passed in the Zenin Clan and is considered to be the strongest ability in the clan. The Ten Shadows technique is known to rival the Six Eyes and Limitless of the Gojo Clan. Megumi Fushiguro is one of the most interesting Jujutsu sorcerers who has immense growth potential.
Even Ryomen Sukuna took a liking to Megumi Fushiguro and targeted his body to get access to the Ten Shadows technique. If Megumi manages to get out of Sukuna’s clutches, he might very well be one of the biggest threats to Sukuna after Gojo’s death in Jujutsu Kaisen.
1. Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu is one of the four Special Grade sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen and the most capable character to surpass Satoru Gojo in terms of Cursed Energy. He has almost unlimited Cursed Energy and can use the Reversed Cursed technique. Apart from that, he can control a Special Grade Curse Spirit, Rika Orimoto, who used to be his friend when she was alive. He has full control over his techniques and Cursed Spirit.
Yuta Okkotsu’s Copy ability can help him impersonate any special technique of other Jujutsu sorcerers, even if they are exclusive to a particular clan. He had imitated Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Speech technique in the past. Yuta is not only destined to be the next generation’s strongest sorcerer but he is also destined to surpass Satoru Gojo. After Satoru Gojo’s death, he is the only one who can take on Sukuna at the Culling Games in Jujutsu Kaisen.
