They mentioned at Jump Festa 2024 that they would try to finish the manga before 2025. So, that gives the fans only a year more to enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen. In such a turn of events, the editor of Jujutsu Kaisen, Junya Fukuda, revealed that he knows the ending of the manga. Gege Akutami had revealed it to him.
Junya Fukuda Might Actually Get His Lips Sealed
Junya Fukuda is the editor of Jujutsu Kaisen and has been working with Gege Akutami for a long time. Recently, during an interview, Junya-san revealed that Gege Akutami has already decided on the ending of their magnum opus. They also mentioned it to him, and he is the only person to know it other than the mangaka. As a result, the host of the interview requested him to reveal the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen, but he politely refused to answer.

In a desperate attempt, the host tricked him into saying that instead of Jujutsu Kaisen’s ending, he would reveal the ending of One Piece to the fans. Even though it was a joke, how the fans wished it were true. Now that everyone knows that Junya Fukuda knows the ending of the manga, more people might approach him. However they try, he will not reveal it to them, even if it means getting his lips permanently sealed.

Junya Fukuda’s comments have started a wildfire among the fans. After knowing that Gege Akutami had already decided on the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, the fans started to create all kinds of wild fan theories on how the manga would end. The most recent was chapter 247, which featured Hiromi Higuruma collapsing after his fight with Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji Itadori took advantage of that distraction and used Higuruma Executioner’s Sword to stab Sukuna in the back.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next chapter since Yuji getting a clean hit would mean the end of Sukuna. On the other hand, Sukuna is known as the King of Curses, so he might have a few more tricks up his sleeve. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 248 is set to release on January 21, 2024. With each chapter, the manga is nearing its end. Gege Akutami has their target set so they will be following what they have decided upon.
