Jujutsu Kaisen had a great 2023. The manga peaked when Satoru Gojo was freed from the Prison Realm and straight away challenged Ryomen Sukuna. The fans had waited for a long time to see two of the strongest sorcerers clash in an epic battle. The fight lived up to its hype, but in the end, Satoru Gojo was killed by Sukuna.
On the other hand, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 also had a great run and became one of the most popular anime. The Hidden Inventory arc and the Shibuya Incident arc lived up to their hype, and the deaths added an emotional touch to the story. For such popularity, Jujutsu Kaisen was nominated for the Best Anime of the Year Award at Crunchyroll Anime Awards, but the ultimate prize is not that easy to win.
Jujutsu Kaisen Has To Overcome Several Anime for the Prestigious Award
The Jujutsu Kaisen fandom is quite happy with their favorite anime receiving a nomination for the Best Anime of the Year at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. But to win the award, Gege Akutami’s magnum opus needs to overcome several other anime that received massive recognition from the fans. Anime like Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, Vinland Saga, Oshi no Ko, and Bocchi the Rock! were also nominated in that category.
Chainsaw Man had a great first season, and Demon Slayer season 3 featured the Swordsmith Village arc. While Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 delivered one of the best performances amidst the MAPPA controversy, others were also on par. It is the 8th Crunchyroll Anime Awards and will be held on March 2, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan. The fans can vote for their favorite anime and help them get closer to the ultimate award.
The voting lines will be open from January 17, 2024, to January 27, 2024, till 11:59 PM, according to the Pacific Time. People can vote through Crunchyroll’s official website or use the app. Ultimately, it will be the fans who decide the winner of the Best Anime of the Year.
