Nonetheless, all of it is very much real, but further revelations about Yuji Itadori in the manga have now got the fans wondering if Sukuna leaving Itadori to take over Megumi Fushiguro was the right choice to begin with.
Yuji Itadori’s True Identity Revealed In Jujutsu Kaisen Manga
One of the most shocking turn of events in the whole of the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise is the disclosure of the fact that Yuji Itadori is one of Kenjaku’s creations. After taking over his mother’s body, it was Kenjaku who gave birth to Itadori.
While it is true that his Cursed Technique has not come into play yet, Yuji Itadori is still one of the most proficient Jujutsu users in the whole franchise. Without even having much knowledge of sorcery, he is a fast learner and was able to learn many techniques other sorcerers fail to master. A fine example would be the Black Flash attack, which he learned in a short period after conversing with Todo during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc.
Itadori was metaphorically not born, but crafted to perfection by Kenjaku. He holds an intense amount of potential that the King of Curses chose to give up on to pursue the Ten Shadow techniques.
Why Abandoning Yuji Itadori’s Body Might Have Been Ryomen Sukuna’s Biggest Mistake
While it is true that Ryomen Sukuna has seen an immense boost in power ever since he took over Megumi Fushiguro’s body, it still might not be worth it to leave Yuji Itadori behind.
It has been made obvious at this point that Sukuna possesses the gift of plot armor, but so does Itadori, as he is the main protagonist of the whole franchise after all. Holding unlimited potential along with fast learning abilities, he is one of the best vessels that Sukuna had already accessed but given up. Even Itadori’s cursed technique remains unknown for now, and it could potentially be greater than the ten-shadow technique of Fushiguro.
Another example of Yuji’s potential is portrayed by how he was able to get a hold of the Reverse Cursed Technique, which is one of the hardest techniques to master and even Gojo Satoru was not able to replicate. The ability allows the user to practically heal themselves using cursed energy, and Itadori was shown using the same after surviving one of Sukuna’s cleave and dismantle attacks.
