Jujutsu Kaisen is finally back after the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc. The first five episodes of season 2 explored Gojo Satoru’s past and his relationship with Suguru Geto. The season has so far been very highly praised and even its opening was especially loved. The parallels were non-stop and fans were loving it.

The first episode of the Shibuya arc is finally out and fans are already loving it. Although it was a filler episode for the first part, the second half of the episode finally began what might be a painful arc for the fans. Manga readers may already know just what is to come. However, that might not be the case anymore since the opening of the arc may have given out a little too much.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Arc Gets Exposed

The first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya arc is finally here after weeks of waiting and fans are looking forward to it eagerly. The first episode looks back at Itadori and his friends, their bond, and how he left an impression on people others cared naught for. However, it quickly evolved into Mechamaru going head-to-head against Mahito, neither of them planning to hold back. Manga fans may already know how the fight ends but anime fans will soon find out. The new episode also featured an entirely new opening. SPECIALZ sung by King Gnu was playing as the opening gave a brief overview of what the fans can expect from the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, it was not just a brief overview. Perhaps the opening gave out a little too much. If an opening breakthrough is done, Mahito can be seen running through a train, even the prison realm is shown. However, that is not it. Mahoraga’s ring can easily be missed in the opening. For those who may not know, Mahoraga is one of Megumi Fushiguro’s strongest shikigamis.

Fans of the series must gear up for the great number of deaths that are coming in the season. Unfortunately, the opening does give away a lot of it with the focus on certain characters. There is no doubt that the opening is incredible, but what stands out is perhaps the focus on Nobara and Nanami. Not only that, but it becomes clear that Megumi has a much bigger role in the series than anime fans would realize. Those who are up to date with the manga may know exactly what that is.

Giving Too Much May Backfire

Whether it is foreshadowing or giving away a bit too much, the fans are in for an unexpected ride. What may be concerning is that the element of surprise may turn into predictability if not give the entire story away. Shazam! Fury of the Gods faced a similar fate after its trailer basically gave away the entire story of the movie. Many fans who watched the film later stated that there was no possible thrill because they already knew what was going to happen.

Although Jujutsu Kaisen doesn’t do exactly that, there is still a lot that is let slip. However, there are constant parallels between Geto and Gojo that fans continue to admire. Not only that, but Jogo’s role, the prison realm in general and so much more can raise further questions, confusing the fans about just why manga readers have gripped their hair concerningly.
