Jujutsu Kaisen has been one of the most popular anime for the last few years. After almost a couple of years, Jujutsu Kaisen came back with their second season in 2023. It was a much-anticipated series and rightfully delivered a few of the best anime moments of the year. Starting from Satoru Gojo facing Toji Fushiguro to the latter facing his son in the Shibuya Incident arc.
But even after showcasing such great moments, there is a deep-lying problem that may see the latest season come to an abrupt end. The problem is surrounding the MAPPA Studios. They are burdening the animators with too many tasks without any leaves. As a result, the fans fear that if the animators suddenly stop production, it might be bad for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen Might Not Have A Season Finale
The Shibuya Incident arc is quite an interesting arc where new characters will be introduced, and there will be plot twists at every corner. But before the fans can enjoy any of those things, Jujutsu Kaisen might take a serious hit with MAPPA Studios. MAPPA Studios is constantly pressuring the animators and has undertaken more projects than they can handle.

Due to this, the animators are being pressurized. The Jujutsu Kaisen animators wanted a break and had requested to delay an episode so that they could have their much-needed break. But it was rejected by the production team. The last couple of episodes were very well done. The story, animations, voiceovers, etc., were all perfect but after the latest development, fans fear that the animations might be hampered.
MAPPA Studios did a great job with Attack on Titan finale. They even began Jujutsu Kaisen with a bang, but slowly things started to change. Everyone deserves a break, and delaying one episode is not a big issue to stop the production of the entire season. Rejecting their request has made the situation worse.
Reactions To The Latest MAPPA Controversy
There has been a lot of reaction to the latest MAPPA controversy. The Sakuga Blog Writer, kViN, wrote on X (Twitter), “Reminder that if you hire teams of young, materially ambitious creators because you want to exploit the bombastic appeal of their work, it’s not their failing if it becomes impossible to comply with your studio’s pathetic planning. *They* didn’t doom the schedule. It already was.”

Reddit users also raised their concerns regarding the new issue, but later they deleted their comments. People are saying that it might be over for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 after episode 18 since there has been a lot of disappointment surrounding the matter. The matter is slowly getting out of hand since it is rarely seen that the animators are raising their voices collectively.
Even though there are so many issues surrounding the matter, MAPPA has remained silent and has yet to answer. Even if they do not give any answer, granting the animators their leave will make them happy, and the fans could enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen to the fullest.
