Currently, Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori are busy taking on Ryomen Sukuna. They are the last hopes of the Jujutsu world since most of the sorcerers are already dead.
Even though it has been some time since Satoru Gojo died, the fans are still not over the death of their favourite character. But his death might not be entirely in vain. A new fan theory claims Satoru Gojo’s death was strategically planned, and he even might have faked it with his Six Eyes power. It was all for a binding vow with the power to change the course of the battlefield.
Satoru Gojo’s Death Might Turn out to be in Jujutsu Sorcerer’s Favor
Jujutsu Kaisen fans were eagerly waiting for the showdown between the Honoured One and the King of the Curses. When those two started to exchange blows, it was one of the best moments of the manga. The fight was pretty exhausting for both parties, but it was Ryomen Sukuna who came out victorious after splitting Satoru Gojo in two. The latest fan theory brings his death into play that he purposely died even after having the powers of the Six Eyes.

The fan theory claims that every one of Gojo’s students was under a binding vow, which would allow them to maximize their Cursed Energy. It would be activated after Gojo’s death. It may also happen that he faked his death to bring out the best of his students. Yuta Okkotsu did the same with the Higher Ups when he took the contract of killing Yuji Itadori.
After killing Yuji, he was rid of his binding vow and then revived him. In the same manner, Gojo’s death deactivates the binding vow that helps his students overflow with Cursed Energy. It was the last option in case things went south. The binding vow falls under the ‘vows with other’ category in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Gojo’s Death is an Important Part in Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuta Okkotsu has shown the loophole in a binding vow. He killed Yuji Itadori and immediately revived him using Reversed Cursed. Satoru Gojo might planned his death. He knew facing a strong foe like Sukuna could go any way. He seized the perfect moment to die and allowed his students to break free of the binding vow. It was revealed that Ui Ui had removed Gojo’s body from the battlefield. So, Gojo might make another appearance.
It is an interesting theory, and Jujutsu Kaisen fans have seen glimpses of Gojo’s student powering up. Even though Hiromi Higuruma was not Gojo’s student, he became allies with Yuji enough to place him under a binding vow. During his fight with Sukuna, he was seen to drastically improve with every step. It might have been the effect of the binding vow.
Yuji Itadori was also seen to improve his battle prowess and landed a crucial punch on Ryomen Sukuna. Jujutsu Kaisen is on its last stretch. With Gege Akutami already set an ending in their mind, it won’t be long until the fans get to it. But for the moment, the binding vow theory seems pretty legit.
