But apart from all of these, the finale saw Yuta Okkotsu take a binding vow under the Jujutsu Higher-ups that he will execute Yuji Itadori, who is Ryomen Sukuna’s vessel. People are worried about what will happen to Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. Another question was raised – why was Gojo Satoru deemed a criminal after the Shibuya Incident arc? It has confused the whole fandom.

The Shibuya Incident arc began with the villains raising a barrier around Shibuya and asking for the presence of Gojo Satoru. Seeing the crisis, the Honoured One went and encountered the villains. Gojo overpowered them, but suddenly heard a familiar voice and turned around. It was his best friend, Suguru Geto, who was considered to be dead. In a moment of surprise, he was trapped inside the Prison Realm.

But before getting trapped completely, Suguru Geto’s impersonator showed that Geto was dead and he was using his body. The impersonator is a jujutsu sorcerer named Kenjaku, who’s been alive for a few centuries. After that, the blood game began between the Cursed Spirits and the Jujutsu sorcerers.

At the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, it was revealed that Yuta Okkotsu was summoned to kill Yuji Itadori. Thanks to Gojo, his execution was put on hold, but now that Gojo’s not around, he is to be executed. One of the most interesting developments was that apart from Yuji, Gojo was also branded as a criminal for a couple of villainous acts.

Reason Behind Gojo Satoru Being Branded As A Villain in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Gojo Satoru was branded as a villain because he was deemed to be an accomplice of Suguru Geto and one of the main reasons behind the Shibuya Incident arc. Apart from that, the Higher-ups were answerable for the mass destruction. So they put everything on Gojo Satoru’s name. He was given the task of finishing Geto. But now that he was alive, the higher-ups believed that Gojo had not fulfilled his mission. They did not know that Kenjaku controlled Geto’s body.

So, they branded Gojo a criminal and even added that freeing or attempting to free him from the Prison Realm would also be deemed a criminal act. There seems to be no end to Gojo’s problems. He is not the only one who was branded as a criminal. Geto was sentenced to death, and Masamichi Yaga, the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High, was also to be executed.

From the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen, there seemed to be tension between the Higher-ups and Gojo Satoru. But no one thought the former would take the latter’s name to clear their path in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 has been announced, and it will be interesting to see how the story develops after the strongest sorcerer gets unsealed.
