This has everybody discussing the entertainment world’s culture and what’s considered okay in the name of creativity. Fast forward to March 2024, and Wilson’s matters got so serious that Cohen is considering legal action. But what exactly went down before Cohen chose to take that step?

What Exactly Did Sacha Baron Cohen Do To Upset Rebel Wilson?

Rebel Wilson’s new sensation about Sacha Baron Cohen has truly surprised people. According to The Hollywood Reporter, during the filming of The Brothers Grimsby in 2016, Cohen gave her a hard time. While everyone knows Cohen’s Borat was a smash hit, some of his other flicks haven’t stirred things up around town, including The Brothers Grimsby.

In 2014, Australia’s Courier Mail newspaper reported that Wilson revealed in a radio interview that their relationship on set was far from rosy, suggesting serious tension.

She asserts Cohen harassed her, made offensive comments, and continued to push her to strip for scenes, which made her feel uneasy. She said,

Look, I’ll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my b*tt, it’ll be a really funny bit. Every day he’s like, Just go n*ked, it will be funny. Remember in Borat when I did that n*ked scene? It was hilarious.”

Wilson’s words represent her experience on set with Cohen. She alleges that he made uncomfortable remarks and repeatedly forced her to bare it all for the camera, even though she wasn’t cool with it. Wilson described feeling forced into a tight spot, similar to how she needed to battle to watch out for her limits.

She even recalled a moment when she thoroughly considered that she’d at last gotten to Cohen, just for him to get a body double for a n*de scene on the last day of shooting. The actress disclosed,

“On the last day, I thought I’d obviously won the argument, and he got a body double to do the n*ked scene.”

As for Cohen, he’s remained quiet about his interaction with Wilson and what it was like working with her on The Brothers Grimsby. It seems like he likes to keep his personal and professional lives separate.

Yet, Wilson isn’t letting him go without causing some damage. She’s also blaming Cohen for attempting to quiet her, adding one more layer of drama to the entire circumstance. It’s a messy situation that has everybody talking.

Wilson claims Cohen attempted to silence her amid charges of harassment during the filming of The Brothers Grimsby. Last week, Wilson uncovered a secret celeb who was attempting to block her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising, set to release on April 2.

Now, she’s identified her co-star, Cohen, as the one supposedly attempting to prevent her from writing about him. Due to this, Cohen’s representative answered, denying the allegations and giving proof of the contrary, including records, film, and eyewitnesses from the film’s production. As per THR, the spokesperson said,

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence.”

Meanwhile, Wilson’s memoir, published by Simon and Schuster, vows to narrate her unconventional journey to success in Hollywood after growing up in Australia.

However, recently, Wilson took to social media to update her fans, asserting that the star in question had hired emergency PR managers and lawyers to threaten her to prevent her from writing about him. She said,

“He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He is trying to stop the press from coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth.”

Despite Wilson’s allegations, Cohen has yet to address them openly, leaving space for speculation and discussion about the circumstances.
