If one has ever played a game in the sports genre like Madden 24 with a friend while sitting right next to them, chances are that at some point, things have gotten a little bit heated, especially if the same player keeps losing consecutive matches. Now, when gaming sessions start to involve betting, and where money is concerned, the situation can possibly escalate to unfathomable levels.
Something similar happened during an otherwise friendly match between Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and Grammy award-winning rapper 21 Savage, during which a huge monetary amount resulted in an unfortunate scenario caught directly on camera.
Kai Cenat Loses $300K While Playing Madden 24 With 21 Savage
To put the unfortunate situation into context, one of the top streamers on Twitch decided to spend some time gaming with an extremely popular rapper, and during a Madden 24 session, things went south on a livestream. After a game or two, the celebrities went on to increase the stakes of the competition, which led them to put a whopping $300,000 on the line for whoever wins the next match.
Cenat, being a professional streamer and video game expert, probably did not think things through and expected to take the victory by a mile, but that didn’t exactly fare well for him.
Even with all the odds stacked against him, it was actually 21 Savage who emerged victorious by the end of the Madden 24 match, surprising almost everybody and, most importantly, Cenat. What followed was definitely not a good look for Cenat, as upon losing the massive amount of money, he proceeded to literally smash his PC and streaming setup, destroying anything technology-related in his way.
To be fair, it is not everyday that one just randomly loses $300,000, so the reaction could be somewhat justified, but Cenat’s outburst due to his horrible fortune was right there for thousands of people on the Internet to witness.
Kai Cenat actually has a huge following on Twitch as he has some of the highest numbers of subscribers on the streaming platform, and with great following comes great responsibility, and the streamer apparently forgot all about that while reacting to his utterly humiliating defeat in Madden 24.
Kai Cenat Started Destroying His PC After Humiliating Madden 24 Loss
Kai Cenat is a highly well-known personality on Twitch, and a lot of people look forward to his content, so him reacting the way he did after his Madden 24 defeat was actually quite disappointing as it showed a lack of sportsmanship. 21 Savage is not even the first megastar that Cenat has collaborated with since he has joined forces with other rappers like Nicki Minaj and Offset before, so one might think he would have learned some composure by now.
The 21 Savage stream took place on Monday, January 29, and fans were naturally excited for such a huge collaboration.
Madden 24 was not the only game that Kai Cenat and 21 Savage played together during the stream, as it also included some matches of NBA 2K24. What makes this situation even funnier is that Cenat, being a gamer, should have known that the NFL title has plenty of unpredictable bugs that can make the matches go in anyone’s favor before betting such a big amount on a single game.
21 Savage, on the other hand, embraced and celebrated his unexpected victory by continuously laughing at Cenat’s overreaction.
The Madden 24 footage was shared by 21 Savage’s collaborator and producer DJ Akademiks on his Instagram account, confirming that Kai lost a “$300K wager against” the rapper. When Cenat began destroying his whole setup, the stream actually got disconnected at a point, but those who were tuned in could still hear 21 just savagely having the time of his life through the audio.
