Kate Winslet Revealed Who Actually Drew Her In In Titanic

If you need a reminder, it was the scene in the movie where Rose, played by Kate Winslet, asked her beloved Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) to “draw me like one of your French girls” and she was wearing nothing but a sizable diamond known as ‘Heart of the Ocean’.

Winslet shared the identity of the person who drew her sketch in the film during a 2017 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert:

According to Winslet, who spoke with Yahoo! Movies U.K. in 2014, she was occasionally asked to sign printed pictures of that scene:

“I don’t sign that one. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that? … They were asking me to sign it. People ask me to sign that one a lot, and actually there’s a photo of it as well that someone’s lifted from a still of the film. That photo gets passed around. It’s like, ‘No, I didn’t mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing 16, 17 years later.”

The actress, 47, further added:

Winslet recalled a time when the famous scene was brought up to her by her daughter’s classmate during her earlier appearance on The Graham Norton Show:

“My daughter actually had this at school. It was quite weird. She said someone came up to her having figured out after four years of being in school together that I was her mother. And said [to her], ‘Oh my God, I’ve seen your mom’s b**bs!’”
