Kate Winslet starred in Alan Rickman’s 2014 romantic drama, A Little Chaos. The film follows Sabine de Barra and Andre Le Notre, as they fall for each other while working in King Louis XIV’s garden. Winslet starred in the movie alongside the Belgium actor Matthias Schoenaerts.

And The Reader star has shared that she was speechless after the makers suggested his name to star alongside her in the movie. During an interview, the actress shared that she was aware of Schoenaerts’ work beforehand and was super excited about the possibility of working with him.

“I was in the room when his name came up, and as a possibility for Andre, I just went we have to have Metthias,” she explained as she acted out being breathless in the suggestion. She also shared that just the thought of having him in the film was “overwhelming” to her.

“He’s an incredible actor, he’s such an incredible actor, and he really looks like a man,” she said before explaining that the Belgium actor has that strength and size to him that makes him even more powerful. She further mentioned that it’s not something people often see on film, as the Pulsar actor is so “rugged” and “beautiful” which was also very helpful for his character in the movie.
