When Keanu Reeves’ Co-star Was Fired For His Demands!

Starring alongside the John Wick actor was American actor Marcus Chong who portrayed the character of Tank in the first movie. Being the operator of Nebuchadnezzar, Tank was a pretty important character in the franchise but he was killed off-screen before the start of The Matrix Reloaded in 2003.

Although the reason was never specified, reports state that the Wachowski sisters, the directors of The Matrix franchise had a problem with Chong. According to sources, Marcus Chong was all set to reprise his role as Tank in the sequel The Matrix Reloaded but was removed from the franchise because he was asking for a higher paycheck.

As per the reports, when Marcus Chong asked for a higher paycheck for his reprisal as Tank in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, the Wachowski sisters simply wiped off the character rather than meeting his demands. Although it was a controversial decision, it later turned out to be a not-so-important decision. The people, however, did miss the iconic role of Tank and Marcus Chong.
