Most famous in the past as well as the present for his phenomenal The Matrix trilogy, Reeves has gained praise from people, both from within the industry and beyond.
And not just for his films, the stars were also part of headlines from the industry of having relationships with many high-profile female celebrities over the years, which also includes Stranger Things star Winona Ryder. Thus, they were in a relationship together, Reeves had certain things to say about her ex-boyfriend and Hollywood star Johnny Depp.
Keanu Reeves Had Things To Say About Johnny Depp
It’s hard to imagine two of the most revered and talented film stars being connected in some way, but that is exactly the case with Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves. Not only are they both extremely successful in their careers, but both also have a history of being considered for the same roles. In fact, if Keanu Reeves wouldn’t have enticed the director for the role of Neo in the blockbuster The Matrix trilogy, the role would’ve gone to Depp. But the commonalities don’t end there.

Both the stars in the past have been in a romantic relationship with Stranger Things star Winona Ryder, and still are good friends to this day. Once, Ryder claimed that during her shoot with Reeves for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the director called an actual priest to do the fictitious ceremony, which led her to believe that they were married in real life as well. While the Constantine star may have a lot to say about his ex, he also had things to say about his ex’s ex Depp. He said:
“And Johnny Depp’s better looking than me”
While praising Depp’s extremely good looks, Reeves also pointed out just how successful Depp’s career has been over the years, along with his TV appearances in the old 21 Jump Street TV show.

His latest film Jeanne Du Barry received a seven-minute standing ovation at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
While on the other side, Ryder has been successfully playing the role of Joyce Byers in Netflix’s superhit TV series Stranger Things, which is headed for its final season. And then, Keanu Reeves has been praised tremendously for his performance as the titular protagonist of the John Wick franchise, while also being rumored to be returning as the assassin in the spin-off titled Ballerina.
