This time The Matrix actor has collaborated with director Sofia Coppola for a short film involving a famous Japanese whiskey brand. Reeves and Coppola go back in time when the Speed actor met the director on the set of her father Francis Ford Coppola’s film, Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

It was also common knowledge that Keanu Reeves and Sofia Coppola were romantically involved back in the day. Reeves’ Speed co-star and good friend Sandra Bullock had earlier given her opinion about the nature of the John Wick star’s relationship with his ex-girlfriends.

Keanu Reeves Reunites With Ex Sofia Coppola For A Short Film

Hollywood star Keanu Reeves and director Sofia Coppola have got back together. Not as a couple, but as professionals to collaborate on a short film based on the famous Japanese Whiskey brand, The House of Suntory, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The film will showcase the brand’s impact and popularity over the years while also throwing light on the quality of its product. Reeves who had earlier appeared on a Suntory advertisement in the 90s, was effusive in his praise for the company and grateful for the experience to talk about the brand.

“It was extraordinary to have the opportunity to spend time with people from Suntory, in terms of going to the founding distillery Yamazaki, then going and just meeting master blenders and all the craftspeople. I got to meet some of the artisans, Kabuki actors, calligraphists, being an outsider and getting to spend time with people and talk about their passion and their craft.”

Speaking of Sofia Coppola, Keanu Reeves expressed his happiness on working with the director on the film and reminisced about the times he spent with her family on the sets of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Could Keanu Reeves And Sandra Bullock Be A Couple?

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves formed a warm personal and professional friendship on the sets of their action thriller Speed. Despite speculations on a possible romance between the actors, The Gravity star and Oscar winner confessed that she and Reeves had never officially dated. Bullock added that if a romantic relationship had so developed, there was a high possibility that it could have stood the test of time owing to Reeves’ easy rapport with women.

“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived.”

With his collaboration with Sofia Coppola, Keanu Reeves has proved Sandra Bullock’s theory right. Over the years though, Bullock has always maintained that she and Reeves worked better as friends than lovers.
