Since its first biggest live-action hit starring Tobey Maguire, Spider-Man has become one of the biggest superheroes, known worldwide. Andrew Garfield later portrayed the web crawler with mixed reactions until finally landing on Tom Holland.
Tom Holland plays the Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside Euphoria star Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, and many more. The actor claimed in interviews that acting as the web crawler was a dream come true for him.
What happened to spidey at the end of no way home?
At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we saw the MCU’s spiderman give up his relationships with his friends, fans, and many more, to save the universe from collapsing and end up moving into a rundown apartment. Due to this, the character is expected to be isolated in the next installment.
This is rather similar to the original installation of the web crawler directed by Sam Raimi, despite Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker having many friends, he lived alone in a rundown apartment.
The fourth movie in the Spider-man franchise was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, with fan expectations to see Peter Parker in a new light, since the drastic end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’ll be interesting to see the character go through more of the ‘neighborhood’.
Kevin Feige hints at Peter’s teaching career.
Since the end of the last film, fans have been theorizing about where the character is headed. One of the most interesting theories, hinted by Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige teased the idea of the character being a teacher or a scientist.
Further theorizing on the web slingers’ future, he noted to editor Nick Lowe on the back of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man issue 900’, the struggle of the character to live as the Spider-Man and Peter Parker. He stated:
“Teacher and scientist are the ones that always stick with me because if he hadn’t become Spider-Man, that’s who he was anyway. That’s always the duality of Spidey”
Already showing his prowess in science, with the development of web shooters in the first film and the antidote for the crossover villains in the third installment, Peter Parker certainly has an intellectual background.
