Amongst the various heroes that fans wanted to see the return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones was amongst the top alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. After the confirmed return of Cox, him being an established character within the MCU and getting his own revival series, fans have been more than excited to expect more characters to return.

There had initially been rumors about Jessica Jones’s involvement in Daredevil: Born Again. However, this idea was said to be scrapped due to Ritter’s busy schedule and the possibility of replacing her involvement with Bernthal’s. Although there might once again be a possibility of the actress’s return to the franchise with her latest stories on Instagram.

Krysten Ritter Could Be Returning As Jessica Jones

In a few of her latest Instagram stories, Krysten Ritter was seen working out wearing a Daredevil t-shirt. While it is not new to see her work out and share a story about it, to see her rock a tshirt of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen was an interesting sight. It could very easily be a hint about her return to the MCU. It was first said that Ritter would be a part of the franchise starting with Daredevil: Born Again, but that rumor was quickly debunked.

Much like how Charlie Cox was introduced with a minor cameo, there could be a possibility of Ritter having the same. Both Echo and Daredevil: Born Again could have room for the actress to take on her role. Marvel has lately been out and about pushing for surprise cameos in almost every new project of theirs. From Don Cheadle in Falcon and the Winter Soldier to Brie Larson in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Not only that but the numerous cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Jessica Jones too could return in the MCU with a simple cameo in either of the upcoming projects. Cox’s series could further focus on establishing bigger characters like the Defenders and Punisher rather than minor characters such as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson.

Daredevil Could Bring Back The Defenders Into The MCU

A key role that Daredevil could play within the MCU is to reintroduce the entire team of Defenders. Ranging from Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Punisher. This could start with simple appearances in his own show. Then furthermore cameos across the franchise, ultimately leading to them getting their own series. A case similar to that of Charlie Cox.

Jessica Jones Stills
Krysten Ritter

Although there is no confirmation of either of them returning, this could be a slow process with Marvel taking its time establishing each new character. Especially considering how Phase 4 purely was an introductory phase for the franchise.
