The official synopsis of Kung Fu Panda 4 states that the film will follow as

Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.” In addition to this, Po must also seek a successor for the role of the Dragon Warrior. While Po aims to fulfill his leadership duties, Davis’ Chameleon seeks to bring evil back to the Valley of Peace via the ‘Staff of Wisdom’, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm.”

The film also welcomes Viola Davis, who this year starred in the critically acclaimed The Woman King, with the actress confirming that she will voice The Chameleon, the villain of Kung Fu Panda 4.

It’s fair to say that the cast’s level of star power will create an even higher anticipation for the film.
