Keanu Reeves’ return as John Wick has left fans with some unanswered questions and they are curious if they would get these answers in John Wick 5. While there have been assumptions that the director Chad Stahelski is done with the franchise, he denied such beliefs saying that fans would never hear him say that he’s done with John Wick. He said that he would continue working with the franchise, assuring fans that the John Wick star would return.

During his recent interview with ScreenRant, the director of the film series opened up about the actors he wishes to see alongside Reeves in the future John Wick films. And seems like, after Donnie Yen, the director is interested in featuring more martial artists in the franchise.

Chad Stahelski Wants Jackie Chan And Jet Li in John Wick 5

John Wick: Chapter 5 introduced Donnie Yen as a blind High Table assassin and an old friend of John Wick. The director of the film, Chad Stahelski, was asked during his recent interview which other actors he wants to see alongside John Wick in future films.

Talking about the actors he’d like to see in the John Wick franchise, Stahelski laid out his dream list. He shared that he has a long list of names he wants to work with in the future. “So many! Keanu and I have a whole board of people we’d love to work with,” he said.

“If you told me Cillian Murphy was going to be in a John Wick movie, I’d be like, “Oh my God!” If you told me Jackie Chan or Jet Li.”

While it is yet to be officially confirmed that the studio and the filmmaker are planning John Wick 5, it does seem another indication that fans can expect John Wick’s return.

And as the post-credit scene of the film seem to suggest that the next movie could revolve around Akira, Caine, and John Wick, there could be a possibility the next John Wick film bring in some new characters. It would also be hard to deny that new characters could join the franchise. And it would be interesting to see if Stahelski manages to get Jackie Chan and Jet Li on board for John Wick 5.

Chad Stahelski Wants Marvel And DC Stars to Join the John Wick Universe

The John Wick director certainly had a long list, and it featured some of the biggest names. Apart from Jackie Chan and Jet Li, he also had Hollywood stars like Cillian Murphy and Jason Statham. He even mentioned that he would be glad to have a Sylvester Stallone cameo in the John Wick franchise.

He went on to name Clint Eastwood, Christian Bale, Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, and Matt Damon. He also shared that he is friends with the Aquaman star Jason Momoa and would love to have him in the franchise.

“I can’t imagine a better enticement than Jason Momoa coming in and giving you that look! Like, come on,” he said. Chad Stahelski shared that these are the people he would love to work with, whether in the John Wick franchise or any other films. He said that he is a huge fan of all of them and would never miss an opportunity to work with them.
