This new studio will have total liberty in making creative decisions about its next projects. The first was Death Stranding back in 2019. And since the dilemma which separated him from Konami, the renowned director has found inspiration in Norman Reedus, as the protagonist of this new franchise.
In the Connecting Worlds documentary, several Hollywood stars and some video game industry professionals discuss Kojima and how they are working with him. Between them is actress Léa Seydoux, who has starred in numerous very popular movies.
Seydoux did not have prior experience in the world of video games and even expresses as much in the documentary when she says, “It’s a world I didn’t even know.” In fact, Seydoux had never done motion capture before and was introduced to it by Kojima. He convinced her to be involved in Death Stranding, and in Death Stranding 2, she will have an even greater role than in the first game.
