Berserker was supposed to be a massive project for the Braveheart fame. According to sources close to Shutter Island, the star didn’t hesitate for a moment to deny the Mel Gibson movie- “Not a chance… Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them.” Berserker was supposed to be a very dark Viking tale. The producer Graham King also revealed it to be a creation involving some of the finest talents from the industry.

“This will be an awe-inspiring story, created with some of the industry’s finest cinematic talent and I am just over the moon to be making this film with Mel, Leo and Bill.”

But as soon as the recorded conversations between Mel Gibson and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were revealed, it was a major knock to his career. The audio recordings created a stir on the internet after Gibson was heard threatening to burn Grigorieva’s house down. Despite not being the first controversy in his career, it put his career to a major halt for almost a decade.
