Timothee Chalamet once revealed the professional career advice that the actor gave him. In a candid interview, the Call Me by Your Name movie star shared that he met Leonardo DiCaprio in 2018 at an event when the actor gave him surprising career advice about doing “no hard drugs, and no superhero movies.”

The Little Women star previously revealed that he once auditioned to play Spider-Man in the 2017 blockbuster film Spider-Man: Homecoming, saying,

“I read twice, and I left sweating in a total panic. I called my agent, Brian Swardstrom, and said, Brian, I thought about this a lot, and I have to go back and knock on that door and read again. He told me the story of Sean Young and how in an attempt to become Catwoman had scared everyone away when she showed up at the studio gates in costume.”

While it is uncertain whether the 27-year-old star will ever do superhero films, his fans surely want him to play the beloved superhero character Robin in Batman movies.

Did Leonardo DiCaprio Turn Down a Superhero Film?

Leonardo DiCaprio has worked across almost all genres, but the actor has not done any superhero films in his decades-long career. In an interview,  The Wolf of Wall Street trashed the rumors that he screen-tested for playing Robin in Joel Schumacher-directed 1995 American superhero film Batman Forever. He said, 

“I never screen-tested. I had a meeting with Joel Schumacher. It was just one meeting and, no, I didn’t end up doing it. I don’t think I did, no. As I recall I took the meeting, but didn’t want to play the role. Joel Schumacher is a very talented director but I don’t think I was ready for anything like that.”

DiCaprio is a multitalented actor. He has solidified his top spot in the industry by working extra hard, being the best across all fields, and showcasing his unparalleled acting chops. The actor has done iconic films like Titanic, Django Unchained, Romeo + Juliet, and The Revenant.
