However, it was his role as Superman allegedly that cost him another project that was very special to both the actor and his fans.
Henry Cavill announced last year that he won’t be playing the role of Geralt of Rivia anymore in the fan-favorite series, The Witcher. Liam Hemsworth was named the replacement for the English actor in The Witcher.

The casting director of The Witcher maintains her silence on Henry Cavil’s exit
The casting director of The Witcher, Sophie Holland recently appeared for an interview with Deadline and talked about some upcoming characters in the series and also the filming of season 4. When Holland was asked about the filming of season 4, she replied, “We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five.”
The interviewer further asked Holland if she was surprised by Henry Cavill’s announcement of leaving the show. She said,
“I probably won’t comment on that one. I’d love to, but I won’t. I really look forward to seeing what Liam brings. He has a big fan base. Season four will be a nice mix of new characters and returning faces.”
