Although it was deemed one of DiCaprio’s worst movies of all time by Rotten Tomatoes, Gladstone claimed to appreciate it.

Admitting how she took inspiration from the 1998 movie and DiCaprio’s double role and implemented it in Killers of the Flower Moon, Gladstone explained herself.
“The crush was on not King Louis but Philippe, the sweet one. He got to put all of his evil over here and all of his goodness over there, and that allowed me another way to understand Mollie’s love for Ernest.”
