Christine Taylor’s Audition Experience for Her Role in FRIENDS
Christine Taylor was offered the role of Bonnie in the hit sitcom without even auditioning. Further, given the show’s popularity at the time, she didn’t even think twice before saying yes to her guest appearance. She accepted the role without any script reviews or role details due to her own enthusiasm for being a part of such a high-profile sitcom.
Taylor reflected on her casting experience while making an appearance on Today. She added:
I didn’t even have to audition. (Further) I had already done ‘The Brady Bunch’ and had a little work under my belt. I got the call saying, ‘Hey, do you wanna do an arc on “Friends”? I said, ‘Absolutely, hands down.’ I don’t even need to read it. Just yes, yes, yes, of course. It was going to be great.
Further, the actress didn’t actually get bald to play the role but was using a bald cap, which had its own struggles. In the same interview, Taylor recalled how her hair used to rise inside the bald cap, making her head appear larger than it actually was.
