Featured Video

Marvel’s Loki is off to an epic start. The series has already dropped tons of Easter eggs and references. Fan circles are buzzing with hype. But the one Easter egg that has caught almost everyone’s attention is Peggy Carter in the TVA. A ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ Easter egg, a woman resembling Peggy Carter was seen in the first episode of Loki. And there’s ample reason to believe Marvel is not done with Agent Carter yet. There’s a high probability we will see her in action again in Loki.

Here are the 9 clues that confirm the theory.

A Small But Crucial Appearance In Loki

It definitely could have been someone else. But the fans are fixated on this theory. Besides Marvel does not leave anything to chance. If a woman resembling Peggy Carter and dressed liker her was seen in Loki, it is probably because Marvel Studios wanted you to see it. Considering her role in the MCU, the Time-Keepers might have kept an eye on her just in case they need her services.

Peggy’s Being Interviewed By The TVA On Cap’s Reverse Infinity Stones Heist

Although the Avengers traveling back in time and retrieving the stones was what the TVA said was supposed to happen, the TVA would not leave anything to chance. Peggy was working at the SHIELD base in Endgame. The TVA could have tried to close all ends by bringing in a witness, interrogating her, and then deleting her and the entire alternate timeline with a reset charge.

Peggy May Have Never Reunited With Steve

Peggy Carter has had two men in her life – Steve Rogers and Daniel Sousa. Both are charming men with a strong moral compass. In Endgame, we see an aged Rogers. he said he travelled back in time to spend the rest of his life with Peggy. But it was never confirmed whether he actually managed to do that. Maybe the TVA took Peggy away and left Rogers in the past, to spend the rest of his life in peace.

Her Own Secret SHIELD Operations

In Avengers: Endgame, Peggy has mentioned the name Agent Braddock in one scene. The Braddock’s are known to become Captain Britain. There’s one Braddock as Captain Britain in each alternate reality. This coincides with the Multiverse theory and could be a secret Easter egg we did not notice up until now.

Daniel Sousa’s Time Jump To Agents Of SHIELD

Daniel Sousa was supposed to die in the Agent carter timeline. Instead, the Agents of SHIELD managed to save him and bring him over to their era. This complicates things and creates an alternate timeline. Agent carter might have been brought in for interrogation purposes.

She Is A Time Variant

It has been revealed that breaking time is far too easy. One minor miscalculation creates an entire new branch of time out of the sacred timeline. There are already many different Loki variants trying to alter the fabric of time itself. The Agent Carter in TVA’s custody could be another time variant awaiting judgment.

She’s Hiding In Apocalypses

Apocalypses are fixed moments in time that will happen no matter what. Since everything is wiped out in the chaos of apocalyptic events, it is far too easy for variants to hide in them without being detected by the TVA. Agent Carter, if she’s aware of the TVA, could also have figured it out on her own. She has fought in World War Two, a period of chaos and destruction. She could have easily hid in one such apocalypse and the TVA has finally brought her in.

This Is The Captain Britain Peggy Carter From The What If Series

The upcoming What If show will see Peggy Carter become a super soldier. She will fight Nazis and Hydra, a role traditionally reserved for Steve Rogers. Maybe this Peggy Carter variant is the Captain Britain version. Since alternate timelines are liable to be pruned and the entire What If arcs are based on alternate timelines, this is a plausible theory.

Loki’s Head Writer Has Confirmed Peggy Carter Has A Larger Role To Play

Michael Waldron, head writer of Disney Plus’ Loki, was asked about the relevance of the Peggy Carter cameo in the series. To that, he replied:

“That’s a good question, man. I don’t think I can answer that. I don’t think I can answer that. I think maybe… I think maybe just keep watching.”
