SUMMARY

  • One Reddit user believes that the Season finale has opened up a path for Marvel to redeem itself. The Redditor, who goes by the name, DaGurggles thinks that the God of Stories storyline has set up Avengers: Secret Wars.

The MCU is in shambles! Fans can’t stop criticizing the people who are in-charge of Marvel Studios for messing up one of the greatest franchises that there ever was. And what a turn-down in fortunes has it been. Their success till 2019 emboldened them to go all-out. When the Infinity saga wound to a close, fans were wondering what would the future hold. Much to everyone’s dismay, it has been one new origin after another, with none of the characters managing to strike a chord. But in the aftermath of Loki’s Season 2, a Redditor believes that it is all going according to the plan.

The MCU won’t be the same after season finale of Loki

Loki takes on the mantle of the God of Stories

The season Finale of Loki might be one of the most critical junctures in the history of the MCU. Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki takes control of the multiverse as the God of Stories. Entering the temporal loom, he weaved the very fabric of space-time and weaving the threads to create a Yggdrasil tree and taking his seat at the center.

It was the most selfless act. The God of Mischief finally sat on a throne, a feat he had always coveted, his ‘glorious purpose’. That means he is now in control of all the timelines and stories in the multiverse. Only time will tell how it pans out for him.

That isn’t all there is to the finale. One Reddit user believes that the Season finale has opened up a path for Marvel to redeem itself. The Redditor, who goes by the name, DaGurggles thinks that the God of Stories storyline has set up Avengers: Secret Wars.

According to the theory, everything (or a major chunk of it) that has gone down in Phase 4 are divorced from the reality that we know. No Avenger shows up when Tiamut comes calling because he doesn’t live in the same reality as them. Where was everyone sleeping one Khonshu rotated the sky?

There is one plausible answer. And there could be no better way to reconcile everything.

It all comes together in Avengers: Secret Wars

Avengers: Secret Wars
The Reddit user believes that Marvel Studios has set it all up for an epic reveal somewhere down the line

The theory relies on the fact that only Earth 616 was allowed to tinker with the timeline (in order to defeat a certain mad titan). The theory further goes:

“Any of the Phase 4 stories could be setting up various origin stories for members of the Council of Kangs seen at the end of Ant Man 3, proving that Phase 4 is not in our normal timeline. Moon Knight with Rama-Tut Kang. Shang Chi and Immortus. Secret Invasion and Skrull Kang, and so on.” (Reddit)

When does it all come together? The answer is Avengers: Secret Wars. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is another possible showdown. No matter when the twist comes, if this theory holds an iota of truth, the MCU will be back in business. And no one knows that better than the people in-charge of Marvel Studios.
