Gone in 60 Seconds fame is not very open about her relationships and family. She is known to be quite protective of her children. Regards her marriage the actress was previously married to Johnny Lee Miller, Billy Bob Thornton, and Brad Pitt. Jolie shared,
“Well, I’ve had great loves in my life, and whether or not they worked out in the end, they remain the great loves of my life and great friends. And I knew when I met them that they were going to be very important people to me.”
The actress shared that she met a man when she was already married to Thornton. Talking to Vanity Fair, Jolie revealed that she had a lover with whom she had no strings attached.
“I met a man I never slept with. We had dinner once, and it ended up being, ‘Look, I’m married. I can’t sleep with you. I can’t even finish dinner ’cause it’s uncomfortable.’”
After her divorce from Thornton, the Changeling actress decided to reconnect with her admirer, but only as lovers. She shared,
“Three years later I called him and asked if he wanted to be lovers, and it was one of these phone calls of just, you know, a single mom sleeping with a baby and just, I’ll call a man up and ask if he wants to be my lover. We spent a few dinners kind of discussing the details of how this was going to happen. It was actually fascinating,” she said. “I even think with that man it took about two months until he looked at me and said, ‘Oh, you’re really serious, you’re OK with this, you’re really fine to just have a lover.’”

Regarding the topic of infidelity, the actress has some strict rules that she upheld for her integrity. She was adamant about not making love with her ex-husband Brad Pitt while he was married to Jennifer Aniston. It was because her father had cheated on her mother. Jolie shared in an interview with People,
“To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not, could not look at myself in the morning if I did that.”
The action of infidelity can become the breaking point for some relationships, but for Jolie, it was not the worst that could happen in a marriage or any other bond.
“I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterward. Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”
Angelina Jolie started dating Brad Pitt after working together in the 2004 film. The couple got married in 2014, and they share six children. She filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016.
