Happy Star Wars day y’all!
The story (which is brought by a galaxy far, far away) has enthralled fans for decades now. The franchise is a rare series that has always managed to strike the right tune with fans around the world and resonate over different eras. Name a series that would be loved by a 60-year old and a 15-year-old equally.
We’ll wait. The Star Wars fandom is a notch above the rest. And to treat their fans, they have brought to the table another gift for them on this Star Wars day.
The Acolyte will be the newest addition to the Star Wars table
The Star Wars banner is all set to witness the addition of The Acolyte to its roster this year, with June 2024 marking the debut of the series. The first two episodes are set to air on June 4, 2024. It will star an ensemble of Lee Jung-Jae, Carrie-Anne Moss, Amandla Stenberg, and Manny Jacinto to entertain fans left, right and center.

This is just the news that all Star Wars fans have been on the lookout for. The series marks a departure from the Skywalker saga which has over the years become an inalienable (and largely successful) part of the franchise. It rather shifts to events that transpire well over a 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace.
The Acolyte gives fans a glimpse into the dark side of Star Wars
The last couple of years have not been kind to stories revolving around Star Wars characters. The stories have failed to spark an interest amongst fans, the characters have failed to bear an impact and have been coming out with tons of subpar offerings. But The Acolyte looks set to snap the chain.
The series, helmed by Leslye Headland, promises a lot more than its recent predecessors. The story is something new, turning out to be a breath of fresh air for all fans concerned. And adding to that, the trailer seems like we’ll be taken down a path that the franchise has seldom chosen – a gritty and dark tale.
Fans couldn’t be more excited for The Acolyte
The Acolyte will witness a shift – it has been a long time since we have seen so many Jedis on screen. Their sheer number and the scale at which the battle unfolds, indicates that fans are all set to get an insight into a world that they have never witnessed before. And fans are all up for it.

Fans have pegged The Acolyte to be a work that they’ll cherish over the years. It easily has the potential to. In an era where Disney is largely being blamed for ruining the Star Wars franchise with works that have failed to deliver, the Jodie Turner-Smith starrer is all set to act as a ray of hope for fans. All we can say is – ‘May the ‘Fourth’ be with them.’
