Anthony Mackie made his debut in the MCU in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and went on to become Steve Rogers’ trusted second-in-command across multiple films. As the Falcon, a.k.a Sam Wilson, Mackie joined Team Cap during Civil War and stuck to them in the war at Wakanda. He was also given the shield after the events of Endgame.

Despite being in the MCU much before Tom Holland, the latter received a solo film Spider-Man: Homecoming way before Mackie got his own. Holland even addressed this in a friendly insult towards his co-star in a 2018 interview at ACE Comic-Con. However, Mackie seems to have finally got a rebuttal.

He said I didn’t have a movie. I said, ‘Well, you’re not 5’11”’. I got a movie, you’re not gonna be 5’11” though! Yes, Tom Holland, f*ck you!

The actor also mentioned that he would be sitting next to Holland at the premiere to make sure he sees the film.

In 2018’s ACE Comic-Con, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie bantered in a panel discussion with Kevin Smith, with Mackie mentioning that he had not watched Spider-Man: Homecoming. Holland responded to the insult saying that he had not watched the Falcon film as well as there were none.

While Mackie got to have his own solo film now with Captain America: Brave New World and give a retort to Holland, fans still believe that the Spider-Man star’s insult stands as Falcon still does not have a solo film.
