Patch 9.01 of Valorant is here. Just like the previous patches, this one too brings some significant changes to the game, from bug fixes and weapons updates to gameplay system issues, maps, and many more.
For example, the Lotus map is now available for ranked matches in consoles. For the agents, Iso and Raze are getting some nerfs with this patch, while Neon gets a buff. However, there is one change that fans haven’t liked at all.
Valorant Might Need to Revert Back to the Updated Outlaw Animation
Recently, a dedicated Valorant fan shared his opinion on Reddit about the new weapon animation of Outlaw in the Patch 9.01. According to the fan, the new adjusted animation of the gun makes it “atrocious to use.” Before this patch, this gun was his favorite one in the game. The major aspect of the gun this fan is missing is the cool cowboy-style flip.

Right now, he feels the equipping animation is a bit slower as compared to the previous one. The new animation is kind of chunky and fills up the whole skin for a bit longer. He also stated that the previous animation was balanced reasonably well.
Although there is a treat for Outlaw fans as well, as this fan favorite gun is getting its first premium skin through the brand new RGX 3.0 bundle, aka the RGX 11z Pro 3 bundle, which will also include a Sheriff and Karambit.

Riot has stated that this animation change was done to Outlaw and its skinlines to make it “more apparent when the weapon is ready to be fired.” However, there are contrasting opinions as well on that Reddit post, as many have liked the new animation of the gun more as compared to the previous one, just like many fans liked the previous Iso more, than the current one.
All About the Outlaw in Valorant
Outlaw has always been one of the most popular weapons in the Valorant arsenal since its arrival in Episode 8: DEFIANCE. This gun is one of the three available sniper rifles in the game.
This sniper might not be as lethal as the Operator, but it is way more efficient than the Marshal. Also, it does the work at a much lower price (2,400 credits) than the Operator (4,700 credits), as the former deals 140 damage to the body while the latter gives 150.
Now, keeping the price point in mind, Outlaw is a great gun as it can one-shot an enemy with no or half armor. It can kill an enemy instantly if used precisely, as this sniper rifle can shoot two bullets instantly without reloading. Sometimes, this rifle can even be the reason for a swift 1v2 clutch because of the 2-bullet magazine.
