The jury’s still out on Disney+’s new Star Wars series, The Acolyte. However, amidst the divided opinions, a theory has emerged that could turn out to be a massive plot twist—and potentially redeem the show.

The seeds of darkness? It all centers around Osha, our protagonist, and her twin sister, Mae. She seemed willing to leave the dark side after finding out her sister was alive, (while Osha still hung on to the past, seemingly unforgiving). Per the episode synopsis, we learned Osha joined the Jedi after Mae, consumed by darkness, supposedly burned down their family home.

But some fans aren’t buying the whole story. While the twins’ narrative did shed light on their beginnings, viewers think there’s a plot twist hiding in plain sight.

How come a single lantern caused a massive inferno? Plus, a convenient Jedi arrival? “Something about this feels off,” wrote one fan on Reddit. Another commented, “Osha turns to the dark side, even turning on Sol, Yord, or Jecki, killing a Jedi without a weapon! Man, that would be devastating.”

The theory? Perhaps it’s the Jedi who are the real arsonists, not Mae. You see, Mae’s hunt for revenge, Osha’s lack of concern for her sister’s fate—it all fits. Just think about it: the Jedi, tasked with keeping the peace, resorting to such brutal tactics? As another fan pointed out, “The Acolyte is set before the rise of the Sith.” Perhaps it’s a glimpse into the Jedi’s own descent.

However, major questions remain: Will the fire truth be revealed? Will Osha perish in darkness fueled by this betrayal? The Acolyte continues to drop new episodes, and the plot only seems to get more intense. In fact, it seems a real-life space war is brewing!

Star Wars: The Acolyte—Did Elon Musk Just Blast Kathleen Kennedy with a Death Star Diss?

Elon Musk

This time, Twitter fingers are flying instead of lightsabers clashing. Elon Musk, the real-life Tony Stark, attacked Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy, claiming that her “woke” concept for the upcoming series The Acolyte would endanger Star Wars (hard criticism).

Musk compared Kennedy to the space station Death Star, capable of destroying entire planets! He didn’t seem to be okay with an all-female Jedi cast (commanded by Amandla Stenberg). Kennedy, he says, is promoting an “agenda” and ignoring the roles of men.

Elon Musk has a history of feuding with Disney. He clashed with CEO Bob Iger last year after Disney removed advertisements from his platform due to worries over hate speech. Is Musk a starship-wielding troll or a champion of equality? Time will tell. But one thing’s certain: with the recent plot twist, The Acolyte’s got a whole lot more interesting!
