Vincent D’Onofrio played one of the most fan-favorite villains in Marvel’s history. Now set to reprise his role of Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, D’Onofrio has gained worldwide popularity for being a bulky and deadly villain who could kill a man with a single punch. But before playing the gigantic villain, he was just a lean 1.92 m tall actor when he starred in one episode on Homicide: Life on the Street

And it was this role of his that Mark Ruffalo was confused with while grocery shopping one day. During the Los Angeles Times’ Actors Roundtable, Ruffalo revealed the details of this strange fan encounter.

“I was in a grocery store and this woman was like ‘I know who you are’. She’s like ‘That episode of you when you got trapped in the subway, you almost died.’ I was just like ‘That wasn’t me’. And she wouldn’t believe me… ‘Are you kidding me’ I should have been like ‘Yeah, that was pretty good, that episode’.”

Despite the actor revealing that Vincent D’Onofrio starred in the famous Subway episode of the hit TV drama, the fan refused to believe him. Well, now the actor regrets that he should have just taken the compliment and moved on.

Almost breathless and in awe, the fan then asked him to give an artwork that she had prepared to his co-star Tom Hiddleston!
