It’s a known fact that sequels often end up disappointing the viewers who come in with a ton of hope. However, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has proven that there are always exceptions to the rule. Those who attended the early screenings of the film have had nothing but praise for the film and are counting it among one of the best action movies released in the last few years.

Picking up the story from the previous film, Bad Boys for Life, Bad Boys: Ride or Die follow Marcus and Mike as they investigate corruption within the Miami PD. The film wouldn’t be a Bad Boys film without a thrilling plot twist which happens when the two detectives get caught in a set-up and are forced to continue their investigation outside the law.

Needless to say, directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were pulling no punches when it came to the film.

In the last few years, Will Smith has had trouble finding a film that would go on to make big bucks at the box office. His last project that broke $100 million at the box office was Bad Boys for Life (2020) which made 426.5 million worldwide. Before that, his 2019 film Aladdin shook the box office by making over a billion dollars worldwide.

Clearly, it has been a while since Smith was part of a film that truly made any waves at the box office. However, it looks like this will soon change when Ride or Die hits the theatres. At least, that’s what we infer from the reviews.
