It looks like Will Smith is finally in the “redemption arc” of his life all thanks to Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die which marks the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith will be reprising their roles as Marcus and Mike and we honestly cannot wait to see their chemistry on-screen once again.
It’s a known fact that sequels often end up disappointing the viewers who come in with a ton of hope. However, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has proven that there are always exceptions to the rule. Those who attended the early screenings of the film have had nothing but praise for the film and are counting it among one of the best action movies released in the last few years.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die Receives Unending Praise
Picking up the story from the previous film, Bad Boys for Life, Bad Boys: Ride or Die follow Marcus and Mike as they investigate corruption within the Miami PD. The film wouldn’t be a Bad Boys film without a thrilling plot twist which happens when the two detectives get caught in a set-up and are forced to continue their investigation outside the law.
Needless to say, directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were pulling no punches when it came to the film.
In the last few years, Will Smith has had trouble finding a film that would go on to make big bucks at the box office. His last project that broke $100 million at the box office was Bad Boys for Life (2020) which made 426.5 million worldwide. Before that, his 2019 film Aladdin shook the box office by making over a billion dollars worldwide.
Clearly, it has been a while since Smith was part of a film that truly made any waves at the box office. However, it looks like this will soon change when Ride or Die hits the theatres. At least, that’s what we infer from the reviews.
Those lucky few who got to attend the early screenings of the film have unending praise for it. Ride or Die has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the attendees. People are even going as far as to say that Bad Boys 4 is the best film in the franchise.
Early Screening Attendees Talk about the Film
After getting the golden opportunity to watch the film on the big screen before the rest of the world, viewers didn’t waste time before logging onto social media and giving their honest opinion on it.
While “honest opinions” can be brutal and negative, Bad Boys 4 has managed to turn them positive as viewers fall head over heels for the film, calling it a true entertainment flick.
Take a look at what some of the early screening attendees had to say about Ride or Die:
#BadBoys are back and better than ever before. When you start to think that Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah couldn’t top themselves, they instantly prove you wrong with the bat shit crazy action and insane cinematography that comes along with it.

#BadBoys Delivers on what you hope for w/ the series. Hilarious Will & Martin dynamic along with fun over the top action! Directors Adil & Bilall get very creative visually. Side characters actually get applause worthy moments. It’s got issues for sure but I was having a blast. pic.twitter.com/aRumc1jzsr

Bad Boys: Ride or Die exceeded my expectations & is quite possibly my favorite of the franchise. It's corny and ridiculous, but also a whole lot of fun. While it's a tad too long, it does a good job of keeping you entertained throughout. The cinematography is a trip! #BadBoys pic.twitter.com/Dp0l0kRONb
