The Marvel Cinematic Universe is always on the journey of expansion. The next big Marvel film on the periphery is Secret Wars. Not only does the film mark the beginning of a new phase at Marvel, but it will also bring some new and old characters together. Naturally, it is highly anticipated among fans and the predicting and theorizing does not seem to stop.
Venom, the alien symbiote is one of the most iconic characters from the comics. And it is heavily assumed that it will feature in Secret Wars. How that will happen is another hot topic. And keeping the discourse alive and thriving are fans are their art. One such fanart revealed Tom Holland as Venom and had the fandom shaken.
Marvel Fan Art Shows Tom Holland Looking Phenomenal as Venom
A fan on Reddit shared a poster they made of a Spider-Man Venom symbiote. One of the most thrilling associations across the Marvel Universe was teased in the end credits of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. The alien symbiote left a small part of himself on Earth-99999. Opening doors for endless possibilities.
With Spider-Man facing the sky, Venom, in its greyish amorphous grandeur covering the sky over the red and blue-hued background, the poster is awe-inspiring. And has excited fans beyond measure on the possibility of seeing Tom Holland as Venom.
Fans tend to have their perceptions and predictions of how things might turn out. But they more or less fail to influence the content being put out by big studios like Marvel. But this association of Peter Parker with Venom is more than likely and goes way back in the Marvel Universe.
Peter Parker And Venom: Dynamic and Deadly
Marvel Comics’ 1984 run of Secret Wars was the first showcasing of Peter Parker bonding with Venom. Venom, the sentient alien symbiote is a fascinatingly complex character. It is unpredictable and largely dependent on its host. The host can be a hero or a villain. It can be Peter Parker or Eddie Brock.
The latter has already been brought to life in Tom Hardy starring 2018 film Venom in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. But the influence of Venom on Peter Parker was a big hit back in the 80s. And has now caused fans to expect a live-action portrayal of the same.
Even as the storyline is a hit with fans, no official announcements have been made regarding it being in the works. But the less information available, the more creative fans get with the prospects. Will it even be part of future projects or will it remain a well-thought fan theory? Only time will tell the chances of it being presented on screen. Then again, Marvel does things differently.
Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to hit theaters in 2027.
