At times Superman is portrayed as one of the most muscular superheroes in the entire DC universe.
But that’s not true because he was an ordinary Kryptonian, who gained superpowers under Earth’s yellow sun.
Thus he became the dominant being in the DC universe known as Superman.
But The question that arises among DC and Marvel fans is, who from the Marvel universe is strong enough to take down Superman?
And the results might shock you as Fandom Wire has compiled 10 Marvel characters who could easily defeat Superman.

#10 Ant-Man:
Though Ant-Man might be the least likely Avenger to take down the man of steel, it’s possible that he could defeat him because Superman is exceptionally well at fighting villains of his size, but that’s something where Ant-Man’s shrinking power comes in.
But, of course, Sups could clobber him, but this is when he could use his other ability.
If Ant-man could attack Superman with his ant’s covered with Kryptonite dust, then this would weaken the man of steel, giving room for Ant-Man to defeat him.
#9 The Destroyer:
We know that Destroyer isn’t a character, but rather a weapon, which was controlled and made by Odin.
If Odin decides to command him to fight with the man of steel, Destroyer is a tough opponent.
Moreover, his powers include wielding cosmic weapons like the Odinsword and have a disintegrator beam, which could easily defeat Superman.
#8 The Incredible Hulk:
The green giant monster is physiologically the most robust character in the Marvel Universe, and has some incredible strength, most particularly destroying a whole planet.
In 1996 in DC vs. Marvel #3 Superman easily beets Hulk, but that was just one day, if given a chance, it’s sure that The Hulk would kick Superman’s ass with ease.
#7 Black Bolt:
One of Superman’s powers is super hearing, though this power had at times helped him save Lois from danger this power could be a significant problem if he is facing enemies who use sound energy.
Like for example, in The Dark Knight Returns comic Batman uses supersonic sound to beat Superman. Similarly, Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans, has a high chance of beating Sups as his powers include super-voice.
#6 Jean Grey/The Phoenix:
Superman his good at beating up the bad guys with his immense powers, but there is a drawback with him, and that is he could easily be mind-controlled, which is terrible, and that’s happened several times, especially with Poison Ivy and Starro.
And we know Jean’s superpowers include telekinesis and she has a cosmic entity named the Phoenix which could beat Superman.
#5 Deadpool:
If you guys are wondering how Deadpool could defeat the man of steel, severe even we don’t know the answer.
But that’s the beauty of Deadpool as he is very unpredictable, we know that he has stunning kill list on his name, and had killed the whole of Marvel universe in an alternate reality so Deadpool could beat Superman with ease.
#4 Dormammu:
Superman’s biggest weakness is magic, and Marvel has the most potent magical characters, in particular Doctor Strange and Mephisto.
Except for them, there is one aspect stronger than these two, and Dormammu is his name, born in a different dimension, posses pure cosmic energy and dark magic.
And magic is Superman’s most significant weakness; it’s easy for Dormammu to kick his ass.
#3 The Sentry:
Sentry A new marvel character that’s introduced in the year 2000 in the Marvel universe.
In terms of physical strength, Sentry is the most powerful being in the entire Marvel universe, and his powers are similar to Superman.
It’s just that Sentry has a much more advanced brain and also has telepathic abilities, which allows him to win over Superman.
#2 The Beyonder:
The Beyonder is a supreme, interdimensional being utterly different from the Marvel Multiverse, and he is essentially a God.
When a hole opens in the multiverse Beyonder, found about Earth, and decided to kidnap heroes and villains to make them fight on a planet called “Battleworld” just for fun.
So whereas Superman, if Beyonder captures him, he could easily defeat him because without the Earth’s sun, Sups is only Clark Kent.
#1 Galactus:
If we would compare Galactus with Superman, it’s unfair, as Galactus is a whole universe before the big bang theory, and he wields power cosmic, which Superman can’t withstand.
Moreover, Galactus gave the Silver Surfer his skills, with just a little bit of power cosmic, which is enough to beat Superman for good.
