The shoot for the upcoming MCU movie Captain America: New World Order is going on in full swing. The movie is set to release in 2024, and the initial teaser was released recently, which boosted the excitement of the fans. However, new pictures from the sets of the shoot have raised some questions. The pictures reveal the return of some past characters, along with some new faces.
Captain America: New World Order Will Be Star-Studded
Captain America: New World Order is the next release of American superhero films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will see Sam Wilson as Captain America, and it is the 34th movie of the MCU. The movie is the fourth installment of the Captain America series, and the last one was Captain America: Civil War in 2016. MCU released the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021 which comprised six episodes. The upcoming Captain America 4 stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka Captain America, Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Harrison Ford, and Liv Tyler. The movie will be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
The release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021 left the viewers with some major questions about the next part and Anthony Mackie’s future as Captain America. There have also been several speculations around Captain America 4 regarding the role of Steve Rogers.
Steve Rogers will die in Captain America 4?
Some photos from the sets of Captain America: New World Order are making rounds on social media. In the picture, the actors are seen at the cemetery, which leads to the question of the death of a character in the movie. Phase five filming began on March 20, and production photos offer Marvel fans the first looks at the cast on the shoot set.
The image shows several stars of the Captain America series but also marks the end of the journey for one of them. As per some pictures posted by JustJared, we can see Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, who seems to be attending a military funeral as he wore his uniform to the cemetery. In the pictures, Sam Wilson is wearing a sling on his arm, which suggests there has been a fight scene right before the funeral where he had gotten injured.

Liv Tyler is also in the pictures, who will be reprising her role as Betty Ross for the movie. As Sam Wilson and Betty Ross are present in the cemetery, it seems the person who died had a strong connection with both. There are a few speculations about who it can be that led to the burial scene.
Some viewers speculate that it is Thunderbolt Ross’s funeral as his daughter Betty Ross is attending it. However, there is a possibility that Harrison Ford will continue to play the new President of the United States in the MCU.
Then we come across other speculations, which include Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley or Steve Rogers, who could be dead.
Taking Steve Rogers into consideration, the character has not been seen since Avengers: Endgame, it seems right to start Sam Wilson’s story as the new Captain America with the demise of Steve Rogers. It is possible that the scene might be shot for the end sequence, where Sam is seen injured post a fight sequence.
The filming of Captain America 4 has recently begun, and fans will get to know more about the upcoming movie very soon.
