John Leguizamo is a versatile actor who has worked his magic in movies like Spawn, Romeo + Juliet, Chef, John Wick, and The Pest. The 62-year-old actor once revealed that he could have been a part of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Leguizamo talked about the character he was offered by the makers of the 2017 action-adventure movie.
During an interview, the Empire actor opened up about how he missed playing a significant character in Marvel’s film.

John Leguizamo was replaced by Michael Keaton in Spider-Man: Homecoming
The world saw Michael Keaton play the role of Adrian Toomes aka the Vulture. Keaton played the character of the antagonist in the 2017 movie, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya. During an interview, John Leguizamo spoke about the time he was offered the role of the vulture for the action-adventure Marvel movie. Reportedly, the Spun actor was all set to play the negative character in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but unfortunately, Keaton accepted the role. While talking about missing the chance of working as a villain in the Marvel movie, the 62-year-old actor said,
“We had negotiated and I was about to play him and then they said that Michael Keaton wanted it back. They asked me if I would give it up and I said, ‘Well, okay, I guess,’ and they said, ‘No, we’ll work with you again…’ so that’s what happened there.”
The makers of the action-adventure movie also had another part in the pocket for the Sisters actor. Leguizamo stated the makers came back to him with a very small part to play in the movie but he wasn’t interested in it.
Michael Keaton found his character Vulture very interesting
For the Birdman actor, his evil character is a little bit relatable, who describes Vulture as an interesting character. The 71-year-old actor also thinks that people will be able to see his character Adrian Toomes’s perspective through his character. While talking about the Vulture, Keaton said,
“He’s a really interesting — and more interesting than I thought — villain because there’s parts of him that you go, You know what? I might see his point. Then I’m glad to say, they kind of shifted the scheduling and it worked out. So it fit in and I’m glad I did it.”
For many people, it was impossible to imagine anyone else playing the part of the Vulture except Keaton. The Batman Returns actor aced his role as a villain in the movie and made people hate his on-screen antagonist persona. The Spotlight actor has also been part of the DC project. Keaton played the character of Batman in Batman and Batman Returns and reprised his role in the recently released, The Flash. The Worth actor displayed his incredible acting skills by portraying the protagonist in the DC Universe.
