Sacha Baron Cohen Reportedly Playing Mephisto In Disney+ Special

Mephisto is the demonic sorcerer who has been appearing in Marvel comics for decades. The character is inspired by the demonic creature named Mephistopheles from the Faust legend. Marvel’s Mephisto is depicted as an immortal demon who possesses the ability to manipulate magical forces. The characters in comics have engaged with several Marvel heroes which include The Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and others. MCU can surely not miss such a powerful character to solely get restricted in comics. Fans are excited to see the character alive in the upcoming MCU projects.

It is speculated that Sacha Baron Cohen may play the character of Mephisto. The Who Is America? star’s name has always been in news as a possible candidate to play the role of the demon sorcerer. Amid all the speculation of Sacha Baron Cohen debuting in the MCU with the character Mephisto, no concrete reports have been made. But a new report claims that there would be a separate Disney+ special for the justification of the demonic character, Mephisto. And, the shooting for the same has already begun.
