Well, best known for her performance in the acclaimed television series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Chloe Bennet has yet again suffered a significant setback. The actress was earlier reported to have been cast as one of the three leads in The Powerpuff Girls reboot for the CW. But Warner Bros. has now formally canceled the live-action series.

Why Was The Powerpuff Girls Series Canceled After Years of Development?

The CW is no longer producing live-action The Powerpuff Girls, according to Tv Line. Although it was filmed at the start of 2021, the show never materialized. Aside from this, the Cartoon Network will no longer produce Jake Chang, Justice U, or any other series from that era when Mark Pedowitz was president.

Pedowitz served as the CW’s president from 2011 to 2022. He stated in 2021:

“This was just a miss. Sometimes things miss. Totally, it might have felt a little too campy. It didn’t feel as rooted in reality as it might have. But again, you learn things when you test things out. And in this case, we felt like, ‘let’s take a step back and go back to the drawing board.'”
