During the interview, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she had actually auditioned for the role of Bella in the Twilight series but did not receive a callback. Reflecting on this experience, she contemplated how landing that role would have significantly altered her life.

Drawing a comparison, she expressed that even with her involvement in The Hunger Games, she felt the need to actively take on other film projects to avoid being solely associated with that franchise. Lawrence’s desire to diversify her portfolio and avoid being typecast was evident to the extent that she almost declined the role of Katniss.

“It was so hard to explain to people. It was like, I don’t think you understand this level of fame … I just assumed it was gonna be like ‘Twilight,’ like the ‘Twilight’-level fame, and that was just never something I had in mind … I wanted to do indies, and I wanted to do good films, but I didn’t want to be the most famous person on the planet.”
