The Marvel hype train does not seem to be stopping as it has been rumored that the Secret Invasion storyline is in the works for Disney+.

The year 2019 marked a huge end for the MCU saga. Avengers: Endgame premiered in theaters last April 27, 2019, marking a huge and satisfying end to the Marvel story that started with Iron Man in 2008.

The main villain Thanos vanquished and audiences had to say goodbye to the heroes they have known for a long time.

Tony Stark’s Iron Man sacrificed himself to save the universe. Black Widow gave her life for the soul stone. Captain America went back to his lover and finally lived a life of peace.

While fans mourned and bid farewell, the biggest question on everyone’s mind remains: ‘What is the next big story for the MCU?’

Phase 4 of the MCU is a big one as this Marvel phase will not just be on the big screen but on the small screen as well. Various MCU television shows have been confirmed as part of Disney+.

WandaVision, Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and What If? will make their way to the streaming service.

However, it seems now that the next big story will appear in the small screen and bleed in to the future MCU projects. Rumors suggest that Marvel is making the Secret Invasion storyline.

For those who do not know, the Secret Invasion is one of the famous Marvel storylines. Shapeshifters known as Skrulls invade Earth and take the places of famous heroes.

The Secret Invasion storyline would be possible because Skrulls have already been introduced in the 2019 movie Captain Marvel. The Skrulls also made an appearance in the surprise twist ending of Spider-Man: Far From Home when they took the place of Nick Fury and Agent Maria Hill.
