The report states that Disney have opened a new corporation called ‘Finger Guns Production LLC.’

This news follows Ryan Reynolds teasing a meeting with Marvel Studios.

Deadpool writer Paul Wernick also revealed to ComicBook.com that they want to continue the series in the MCU.

The plan and the hope is that Marvel allow us to continue Deadpool in his R-Rated universe that he lives in and also, hopefully, over time, we get to play a little bit in the MCU sandbox as well.

Disney’s new corporation’s name is very tongue-and-cheek but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is for Deadpool 3.

Filming has yet to start on Hawkeye and so it could very well be for the upcoming Disney+ show rather than for Deadpool‘s sequel.

Keeping Deadpool R

Nonetheless, Bob Iger did express that Disney would keep Deadpool R-Rated. He said, “We will continue in that business. There’s certainly popularity with those type of films.”

Joker has more than proved that R-Rated films can be both profitable and critically successful and so Iger may very well stay true to his words.

This could open the door for the MCU’s R-Rated corner. Whilst Moon Knight is PG, Blade could join Deadpool in that sect.

What’s Reynolds working on?

Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick told ComicBook.com that they are already in contact with Ryan Reynolds for the sequel.

We’re in touch with Ryan. We’ve got several projects with him. Moving forward, we’ve got 6 Underground on Netflix coming out in December. Then, we’re rewriting Clue for him right now, which will hopefully shoot in spring. We’ve got a few other things brewing with him, not including Deadpool, which will hopefully come to the surface real soon.
