It is not new for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to release teaser clips of their projects right as they are about to premiere, and Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion is no different. With the franchise seeing a mediocre response as of late, their approach has been rather different when it comes to their upcoming series. So far, there have only been a handful of projects from the fifth phase to please the fans.

The clip that has been released for the fans to view cannot be found as easily. Noting that this is a secret invasion, there has to be a particular way to access certain files and clips. The newly released footage can only be found on the site, theinvasionhasbegun.com. Not only that, but the site also has a password. Only after this password is entered can one access the first five minutes of Secret Invasion. The password is RSD3PX5N7S. The cryptic nature of this entire process also adds a sense of intrigue and excitement that fans cannot wait to jump into.

The Riddler Strategy of the MCU

This is not the first time a cryptic website is being developed and pondered over by fans because of their eagerness for a superhero movie. Robert Pattinson’s The Batman also had a similar concept with a site supposedly being run by the Riddler. The fans were given a series of riddles and if they answered correctly, there would be various possible rewards including digital comics, easter eggs, and whatnot.

Peculiarly enough, there was no way to cheat either because the algorithm always managed to capture any form of misconduct according to it. This created an entirely newfound eagerness within the fans to solve these riddles and get the answers, much like how a Sphynx could work sometimes as well. Secret Invasion does something similar with their clip, bringing an essence of secrecy and urgency as well as a sense of drama about what the series holds.

Secret Invasion’s first episode will premiere on Disney+ on 21st June 2023.
