As expected, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been a major hit in the gaming community and has already received a lot of positive reactions. But that doesn’t mean the game doesn’t have its faults, as there are some gamers who have mentioned the game’s flaws, which luckily aren’t that many.
One of the main comments that has been appearing within the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 community is regarding Miles Morales’ final suit, which he wears during the final act of the game. Even though the suit does look unique and fits Miles Morales, many gamers are quite angry with the inclusion of Adidas shoes, which has turned out to be an Adidas ad-placement.

For obvious reasons, we are going to be discussing the finale of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so if you’re still wanting to experience the game for yourself, take this as a formal warning for spoilers ahead.
During the final act in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, there is a lot going on and a lot of high stakes, as Venom is unleashed upon the city and is infecting civilians in an attempt to “heal the world“. While this story is taking place, both Spider-Men gain access to two unique suits.
Peter Parker gains access to a white symbiote suit that has an anti-venom property, which would take too long to explain, but makes sense in the context of the story. However, Miles Morales decides that his classic suit is no longer necessary and runs home to change into a brand new suit.
When it comes to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the Spider suits were a big draw, as gamers were very excited to see what suits would be coming to the game. Sadly, many gamers were disappointed with this suit, as it looks rather impractical and has one of the most blatant advertisements gaming has had in a long time.
If it wasn’t enough that gamers thought this was a strange decision by Insomniac, it became even more controversial when it was revealed to be a genuine ad placement from Adidas. This has been revealed on the Adidas website, which has a compression shirt and leggings designed exactly like Miles Morales’ suit, but also has the exact trainers he wears within the game.
For obvious reasons, this has annoyed many of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s fans, as it felt like an unnecessary addition to the game, and has made Insomniac look like a sell-out. This poor decision on Insomniac’s part has also caused many fans of the game to take it into their own hands and create a better version of the suit.
How Will This Affect Future Suits In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
As stated above, the Spidey suits are one of the biggest draws for the game, as players always look forward to swinging around New York in the different outfits that are available. Sadly, this ad-placement has now turned a few fans of the game away, as they are worried about how the future suits brought to the game will turn out.
The main reason fans are worried is that Insomniac is currently working with street artists and celebrities to create some unique suits for the Spider-Men. This has led many to wonder whether these suits will also be used to advertise as well, essentially turning Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 into one big advert.
Unfortunately, even though there has been such a large controversy regarding Miles Morales’ suit, it is unlikely that it will be changed, especially with it potentially being a brand deal. However, if it is to be changed, there are already a few suggestions from fans that could improve the suit, even by a small margin.
After the controversy that has been following Miles Morales’ new suit, it can be assumed that Insomniac will take a more careful approach to the future suits that will be making their appearances in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
