Actor Ben Affleck recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and talked about his good friend, actor Matt Damon. He explained how he never paid any of the bills on time,

“Matt’s never paid a bill to this day, that I know of. We’re like, ‘Why are the lights not working?’ and that’s because the utility company needs money to continue to fund our electricity.”

Although Matt Damon is his best friend, Affleck explained that he wouldn’t want anyone to live with him.

Affleck further talked about an experiment he conducted with his brother, Casey Affleck, to check if Matt Damon would clean the house. They basically stopped cleaning the house and wanted to check how long would it take for Damon to actually notice how dirty the place is. Affleck said,

“We’re just gonna wait and see how long he will go before he actually gets up and goes, ‘God, I’m covered in garbage.’ Matt’s there in his shorts and his T-shirt playing the ’92 Sega hockey game in the middle of what was the living room, just surrounded by concentric circles of garbage. Pizza boxes … I look down at this sushi thing that was a week and a half old and there’s maggots.”

Matt Damon just ignored the garbage and continued to live like he used to. Affleck further said, “God bless his wife, Lucy. There’s a place for you in heaven.” Matt Damon got married to Luciana Barroso in 2005.
