It was recently announced that he would be back for a prequel to The Terminal List. Now, the actor has another Amazon project, a sci-fi thriller titled Mercy.

As reported by Deadline, the film will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Marco van Belle. The film which is set in the near future will see Pratt play a detective who is forced to prove his innocence after being accused of a violent crime. The head of Amazon MGM studios Jennifer Salke teased the thrilling potential of the film while also acknowledging Pratt’s successful relationship with the streamer. She said,

“From the moment Chuck Roven brought us Mercy and we read Marco van Belle’s script, we knew the film was meant for the big screen. As our relationship with The Terminal List and The Tomorrow War’s Chris Pratt continues to extend across film, we can’t wait to watch him bring this action-packed story to life, guided by Chuck and the vision of director Timur Bekmambetov.
