Literally crawling with unique and diverse characters, the MCU Spider-Verse has a tremendous opportunity. Let’s see which heroes and villains made it.

Morbius

One of the only characters deemed worthy enough for a live action movie, Morbius has a unique story to tell the world. The living vampire could team up with Spider-Man like he has already done in the comic books. Morbius coming into the Spider-Verse would also pave the way for many other characters to enter the MCU, chief among them being Blade and the Punisher, both enemies and allies of the Vampiric anti-hero.

Spider-Gwen

Gwen Stacy has now made her live action appearance in two Spider-Man movies. She has appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man movies, played by Emma Stone. Stone’s character sadly lost her life during an attack by the Goblin. Comic book fans would remember Gwen Stacy better as the superhero known as Spider-Gwen. Considering Andrew Garfield‘s Spider-Man is slated to appear, Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy would create quite the emotional conundrum.

Green Goblin

Green Goblin has had multiple iterations in the movies. But it is time the original Green Goblin aka Norman Osborn makes his presence felt. The first Green Goblin was the rawest and truest version of the maniacal super villain. There is even potential for the Spider-Verse to bring the Goblin Army since many of the Goblins from different movies could rise up against Spider-Man.

Venom

He has gone from villain to hero and then to anti-hero in a rather shot span of time. The movie featuring Eddie Brock was a blast. But there has to be more to Venom than what meets the eye. The Symbiote superhero literally debuted in the Marvel Comic Book Universe after encountering and bonding with Peter Parker. Spider-Man aka Peter Parker and Eddie Brock aka Venom have a long and tumultuous past. It would be a shame of the MCU Spider-Verse does not explore that. Venom could fight Spider-Man and then eventually team up with him to take down a larger threat.

Morlun

Technically the guy has not been introduced into the movies. But Morlun is that one character the Spider-Verse would be forever incomplete without. An inter-dimensional traveler that hops across parallel universes in search of Spider-Totems, Morlun’s powers have a supernatural aspect to it. He has killed Spider-Men from all across the multiverse and he has set his eyes on the Peter Parker of the mainstream universe. Morlun is also one of the strongest super villains there is. Ift here is a gathering of Spider-Totems, there is bound to be Morlun lurking nearby.

Miles Morales

Now that the cheeky African-American superhero has been introduced to the audience, there is no reason for the MCU Spider-Verse to stop him from making his debut in the shared superhero universe. Truth be told, Miles Morales has even more of a mass appeal than Peter Parker. He has been teased previously to bea part of the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming. With the PS5 game based on the character gaining so much traction, there’s no better time than now to introduce Miles Morales.
