Meet Your Maker is an innovative and unique game where players create a base using all sorts of traps, mods and enemies to try and stop other players from stealing a precious resource. In Meet Your Maker, you can either be the builder or the raider, and it can be just as much fun as it can be frustrating, but now coming August 15th, there will be a new update bringing more chaos to the wastelands.
What will be coming in this brand-new update for Meet Your Maker?
So far, this will be the second free expansion that has come to Meet Your Maker, as there was also an update earlier this year called Dreadshore, which brought with it a bunch of new templates for players’ bases and some more items for players to earn throughout their time in Meet Your Maker, and now there will be another update which will be coming soon which will bring along a lot of new content.
From what we know of this new update, it will be called Shattered Peak, and it is bringing along with it a lot of new items that can be unlocked by players as they build and raid bases over the coming weeks. The first part of this upcoming update will bring along the ability to have player bases always on social raiding, which means that players are able to have their bases found and searched for as long as the base is active, even though players will have this option their bases progression and rewards will still be locked to the Standard Raid map.
Next, there will be daily challenges that will be brought into Meet Your Maker; these challenges will give players numerous different tasks that will help the player to gain a steady pace of rewards by completing numerous different tasks; this new system will replace the Chimera Tribute System when the update launches and this will help players to try and use different tactics and equipment to complete their raids that attempt to complete.
As Meet Your Maker is all about being able to build and defend a base using traps and equipment whilst also being able to invade enemy bases and try and use your wits and skills to avoid monstrosities that hide around every corner, there will also be some brand new mods that will be coming to Meet Your Maker and some new augments as well which will help players to create brand new traps and builds to be able to raid or defend their bases in new and interesting ways.
Why is the Meet Your Maker update called Shattered Peak?
Many players who are aware of Meet Your Maker know that the game is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland which has players fighting for a rare resource to help revive the Chimera, and as the game is evolving, new Sectors will be brought into the game bringing along with it some different templates that can be used for the bases that can be designed.
During the first update, Dreadshore Meet Your Maker was brought to a wet desolate land that was constantly raining; when the game first released, the main template that was available was a desert land; now we will be brought into a snowy tundra as players will be able to build their bases surrounded by snow. So far, these different templates have no actual use except to add some ambience to the locations that player bases can inhabit, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t increase the ever-expanding wasteland in more ways than one.
